New programme director for Marine Paint
Associate professor Thomas Backhaus will be the new Programme Director for Marine Paint. The present Programme Director Björn Dahlbäck will leave his position December 31 - to be Director-General for The Swedish Polar Research Secretariat.
Thomas Backhaus works at the Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences at the University of Gothenburg and is a one of the researchers in Marine Paint. He is a specialist in the prediction and assessment of chemical mixtures and in the development of appropriate modelling approaches and tools.
